Funding the activities of two churches and caring for two fine buildings is a responsibility shared by many people who give their money.
It costs £345 a day to run the parish and maintain the churches in Chobham and Valley End but there is no financial support for parishes from central church funds.
That means the church community relies greatly on the generosity of members of the congregation, visitors and other people from the village and further afield.
The parish gives 5% of the money it receives each year to local, national and international charities. If you would like to find out more about these charities, please visit our links page.
A huge contribution to maintaining the church buildings is also made by St Lawrence Friends’ Heritage Trust.
To make a donation to the work of the churches, please send a cheque, made payable to St Lawrence Chobham and Valley End Central Fund, to Chobham Vicarage, Bagshot Road, Chobham GU24 8BY.
For giving regularly, the traditional planned giving scheme, in which people use envelopes to place their pledged donations in the collection plate week by week, is popular. Or you can set up a standing order from a bank account.
