How can we help?

Baptisms are wonderfully happy occasions -
Here at St Lawrence and St Saviour, we believe a child becomes part of the great family of God’s Church, which is why baptisms are usually within a service of worship at 10am on the first Sunday of the month. We recognise and support the commitment of families who wish to worship here and become part of our fellowship. We would like to encourage all families whose children are being baptised to come and join us regularly both before and after their special baptism day.
Each month we limit the number of baptismal families to two to ensure it feels special to them and that there is plenty of space in church for relatives and friends, so do please book ahead.
Can we come for Baptism?
The answer is always yes. There are two ways of qualifying:
1. At the parish churches of Chobham and Valley End, it is our privilege to baptise the children of parents living within our own parish.
2. We also baptise the children of those who are regular Sunday worshippers here, even if they live outside the parish. Regular worship means at least monthly attendance to our morning services, or our afternoon children’s Tea Service, for three months. Once you have made such a commitment then we can look at dates and book you in.
If you are not sure whether you live in the parish, you can use this postcode checker at www.achurchnearyou.com
